About lecturer
Karim Diwane is a highly accomplished architect, holding a Master’s degree in Architecture (M.ARCH) from the esteemed Ecole Nationale d'Architecture de Marrakech (ENAM), where he studied from 2014 to 2020. His strong educational foundation has been instrumental in shaping his innovative approach to design and project management.
Karim’s career spans diverse projects in Morocco and beyond, showcasing his versatility and dedication to excellence in the field of architecture. He currently serves as Chief Architect at Said Berrada Architects in Rabat, Morocco, where he leads design, management, and coordination efforts for a range of innovative projects. His role emphasizes his ability to balance creative design with meticulous project execution, ensuring every project meets the highest standards of quality and functionality.
Prior to this, Karim held the position of Architect and Project Manager at Yachar Bouhaya Architect in Casablanca. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in an architectural competition for a mixed-use and residential tower at Casablanca Finance City, demonstrating his talent for blending aesthetic appeal with practical urban design solutions.
From July 2021 to September 2023, Karim worked with Youssef Bouchriha Architects (Agency YBA) in Marrakech, where he excelled as an architect and project manager. His contributions included conceptual designs for residential, hospitality, retail, and mixed-use projects, as well as site monitoring and coordination. These projects highlighted Karim’s commitment to delivering designs that are both functional and visually compelling.
Karim’s earlier career includes experience with Agency RY Architecture, where he focused on designing bespoke residential villas, and Marie Bastide Studio, where he contributed to the rehabilitation and extension of luxury villas in Marrakech Palmeraie, including furniture and interior design. Additionally, his work with Rempart France in the French High Alps involved restoring a 19th-century military fort, showcasing his ability to preserve architectural heritage.
A skilled professional in architectural software, Karim is an expert in ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Rhinoceros for design and 3D modeling, as well as Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office for graphic design and presentations. His proficiency in visualization tools like Twinmotion further enhances his ability to deliver immersive and impactful designs.
