Road and Highway Design with Civil 3D

Description

Road and highway design is a complicated job that needs careful consideration of numerous elements such as traffic flow, vehicle behavior, and safety regulations. During this training course, we coupled Civil 3D with Autodesk Vehicle Tracking to train you how to harness the power of combining both tools to provide a compelling solution for any design scenario in the civil infrastructure sector in order to effectively design and analyze road and highway projects.

Using CiviL 3D's advanced design tools, engineers may generate accurate and detailed road alignments, cross-sections, and profiles. You will be trained on how to combine terrain data, analyze existing circumstances, and make informed decisions about road layout and alignment by using this software, which will be followed by ensuring that your design is suitable for the local landscape and has a low environmental impact.

We will back up Civil 3D with Autodesk Vehicle Tracking in this training to reveal how to undertake advanced simulation and analysis for any highway design project. We will also use it to model and analyze vehicle movements, evaluate sight lines and clearance zones, and assess the safety and functionality of our design. You will learn how to spot possible conflicts and make required adjustments to optimize traffic flow and maintain safe maneuverability by simulating vehicle behavior in various settings.

To make this training a full package, we have combined Civil 3D and Autodesk Vehicle Tracking and structured a higher-level training content that empowers you to create efficient, safe, and visually appealing road and highway projects that meet the needs of modern transportation systems. Surprise your boss, colleagues, and family by becoming a road design engineer by certified Autodesk, as will be evidenced by the certificate you will receive immediately after this training.

Who is this course for?

To be able to succeed in this course, regardless of your industry, you must be proficient in computer use. To join this course, you must be or be related to:

  • Civil Engineers with experience in road construction

  • Download, create, analyze, and adjust survey data.

  • Streamline the transfer of field-captured data to the office.

  • Create dynamic and flexible 3D models of road corridors.

  • Simulate driving through the corridor and visually evaluate sight distance and influence analysis.

  • Create dynamic models of 3-way (t-shaped) or 4-way intersections.

  • Model roundabouts according to standards that blend with existing or planned roads.

  • Automate assembly generation for your rehab corridor design model.

  • Optimize mill and overlay to balance costs vs. Performance.

  • Use materials information to create reports for volumes along an alignment, comparing design and existing ground surfaces, and quantity takeoff.

  • Create plan production sheets that automatically display station ranges of alignments and profiles that are based on predefined areas along an alignment.

  • Vehicle swept path analysis, evaluate safety standards compliance, parking lot design, and roundabout design.
